Job Summary:

VKB Homes is seeking a talented and motivated Interior Designer to join our team. This role is responsible for leading clients through the design and selection process for residential remodeling projects, ensuring a seamless transition from concept to construction.

The ideal candidate has an Interior Design Degree, at least 3 years experience in residential interior design, remodeling, space planning and material selection. They also need to thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Meet with clients to understand project goals, style, and budget.
• Develop interior design concepts, layouts, and space plans to present renderings to clients.
• Guide clients through finish and material selections (cabinetry, countertops, flooring, tile, lighting, etc.).
• Create and maintain detailed design documentation for project execution.
• Collaborate with sales, project managers, and field teams.
• Ensure designs are functional, buildable, and aligned with project scope.
• Maintain timelines and keep projects moving forward.
• Provide exceptional client communication throughout the design process.

Requirements:

• Interior Design degree (4 year preferred).
• 3 years of proven experience as a Residential Interior Designer.
• Knowledge of the residential remodeling and construction process.
• Strong understanding of materials, finishes, and design trends.
• Experience with space planning and layout development.
• Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Chief Architect, SketchUp, or similar).
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects at once.
