Purpose of Position:

The Team Lead will be responsible to manage and work on deployments and support for all Hexagon Mining solutions with a focus on mine operations systems. The Hexagon Mining portfolio includes Surface and Underground Operations (Fleet Management & High Precision), Safety (Operator Fatigue, Collision Avoidance, Proximity Detection, Personal Alert, Vehicle Intervention) and other partner solutions. This is a customer-facing role with regular travel to support Hexagaon Mining customers. This role will work with many aspects of the organization including Sales, Account Management, Product Development, and Product Management.

Major Areas of Responsibility:

• Lead, mentor, develop, motivate, resolve, communicate, and empower team members reporting to the Team Lead.
• Provide performance feedback to achieve goals with team members. Build trust and foster growth while creating a positive work environment.
• To lead projects and support involving other technical staff and contractors through the deployment of complex mining solutions at customer sites.
• To deploy new and upgraded Hexagon solutions at client sites.
• To do basic troubleshooting and configuration of hardware, software and computer systems.
• Provide site based and remote system support to clients.
• Independently and within a team perform work as required to ensure client expectations are met including:
  • Defining and reviewing project proposals and plans with colleagues and customers
  • Execution of projects including definition of project phases, elements and schedule
  • Loading of basic configurations, upgrades and operating systems onto computing equipment (field and servers) following defined change management procedure
  • Develop procedures and system reports in response to client requests and needs.

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the Hexagon team

  • Other duties as required from time to time

Knowledge and Experience - Required:

• Experience in mining related business
• Candidates with technical experiences in any of these areas will be considered:
  • Operating systems including Linux and Windows
  • Ruby, Postgres, SQL Server, LINUX shell scripting, or Objective C software development.
  • Networking – Wireless, Ethernet, TCP/IP, Protocols, Switching & Routing
  • Ability to resolve complex issues through troubleshooting techniques
• Candidates will need to demonstrate people management skills including:
  • Leading, motivating, and developing teams through clear communication, and performance feedback to achieve goals,
• Candidates will also need:
  • Strong prioritizing and time management skills
  • Well-developed communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to form strong relationships with customers and represent the company professionally.

Travel:

• 50% domestic and international travel to client sites is a requirement of this role.
