Strategic Sourcing Analyst Location: Columbus, GA/Hybrid Department: Global Procurement / Supply Chain
The Opportunity Are you a data-driven professional with a knack for negotiations and a passion for procurement strategy? We are seeking a Strategic Sourcing Analyst to help shape our category strategies and manage the lifecycle of our supplier partnerships. In this role, you won’t just be "buying" products; you will be an internal consultant, leveraging spend analytics and market research to drive value and efficiency across the enterprise. This is a hybrid work schedule. You must live near the Columbus, GA area.
What You Bring
- The Foundation: A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, IT, or Supply Chain Management, plus 2 years of professional experience.
- Equivalent experience or certifications (CPSM/CPM) are also highly valued.
- Procurement Literacy: A solid grasp of indirect procurement, sourcing principles, and RFP/RFI methodologies.
- Analytical Rigor: You are comfortable with financial/cost analysis, business case development, and qualitative decision modeling.
- Tech Savvy: You are a power user of MS Office. If you have experience with SAP, Ariba, or Fieldglass, you’re already a step ahead.
- Communication Skills: You can sell a new concept to senior leadership just as effectively as you can negotiate terms with a vendor.

salary: $35 - $40 per hour

Responsibilities
- Drive Category Strategy: Use spend analytics and supplier research to identify savings opportunities. You’ll track key metrics like spend under management and "maverick" spend to ensure we are buying smart.
- Master the Contract Lifecycle: You will be the guardian of our contract integrity, ensuring Ariba is updated with fully executed MSAs, SOWs, and NDAs. You’ll manage the pipeline from initial negotiation to final signature for contracts up to $250,000 .
- Evaluate Innovation: Act as a gatekeeper for new partnerships. You’ll listen to supplier value propositions, conduct competitive analyses, and determine if a solution truly fits Aflac’s strategic goals.
- Lead the RFP Process: From drafting RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs to facilitating legal reviews, you will shepherd projects through the sourcing funnel.
- Relationship Management: Coordinate high-level discussions with potential suppliers and keep internal stakeholders informed on upcoming renewals and expirations.
