We are seeking an emerging Mechanical Engineer to join our Residential Power Management and Circuit Protection R&D team in Peachtree Corners GA .

In this position, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary R&D team developing residential power management and circuit protection solutions for the North American market. You will contribute to mechanical design, analysis, and validation activities while continuing to grow your technical depth and product ownership under the mentorship of senior engineers.

You will make an impact by:

  • Contributing to the mechanical design and development of residential power management and circuit protection products from concept through production
  • Creating and maintaining 3D models, drawings, and engineering documentation in accordance with Siemens design standards
  • Contributing to initiatives to integrate AI-driven insights and digital twins to enable smarter engineering decisions and faster time-to-market
  • Supporting design reviews, tolerance stack‑ups, thermal and structural considerations, and design for manufacturability efforts
  • Participating in testing and validation activities, including environmental, mechanical, and functional testing
  • Supporting compliance activities related to applicable codes and standards (e.g., UL, NEC) with guidance from experienced engineers
  • Collaborating closely with electrical, systems, and manufacturing engineering to deliver integrated product solutions
  • Supporting product updates and engineering change activities throughout the product lifecycle
  • Building technical knowledge of residential electrical systems, power distribution equipment, and emerging residential energy technologies
  • Assisting with failure analysis and root‑cause investigations to improve product reliability and robustness

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or STEM field.
  • 3+ years of experience inclusive of internships with the following:
    • Familiarity with residential electrical products, power distribution equipment, or circuit protection devices
    • Familiarity with residential energy topics such as distributed energy resources (DER), energy storage, EV charging, or smart home systems
    • Experience with 3D CAD modeling and drawing creation (e.g., Creo, SolidWorks, or similar)
    • Exposure to test, validation, or laboratory environments
    • Ability to work effectively in a team‑based, cross‑functional engineering environment
    • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Internship, co‑op, or academic project experience in product development or electromechanical systems
  • Exposure to industry standards such as UL, NEC, IEEE, or IEC
  • Working knowledge of BOM structures, configuration control, and engineering change processes
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, pilot builds, or supplier interactions
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and take on increasing technical responsibility
