Job Summary

Working as the Executive Chef, you will lead all culinary operations within a small but complex micro café environment, supporting a campus of approximately 300 associates with 200 on-site daily and a projected volume of 150 meals per day. This hands-on role oversees food execution across a micro café, barista station, and two employee pantries, while coordinating select production through an off-site commissary. Success in this role requires strong culinary expertise, leadership, and a high level of customer service to deliver a best-in-class dining experience.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Plans and executes menus in accordance with established guidelines
• Oversee all aspects of high-end catering operations, ensuring exceptional quality, presentation, and client satisfaction
• Ensures food quality through standardized recipes, production controls, and daily tasting
• Oversees on-site operations and coordination with off-site commissary production
• Leads, trains, and develops kitchen staff on culinary execution, safety, and sanitation
• Maintains a strong customer-facing presence across all service areas
• Manages inventory, ordering, and proper utilization of food products
• Ensures compliance with all safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• A.S. degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
• Experience in complex or multi-outlet foodservice environments
• Institutional and batch cooking experience
• Hands-on chef experience required
• Strong knowledge of food quality, safety, cost control, and presentation
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer systems
